The OpenPhish Academic Use Program provides students, faculty, and researchers with access to our Phishing feed and intelligence data to support academic research. To qualify, you must be affiliated with an accredited academic institution such as a university, college, or research institute. Your project should align with the program's goals, which include:

How do I apply?

Contact us from your academic email address with a short description of your project. Please note that any requests from private email addresses are automatically rejected.

What data is available?

You will have access to a real time phishing feed containing the latest phishing URLs and metadata. In addition, you would be able to download a 30 day archive to bootstrap your research.

How long will I have access to the data?

Your access will last for 90 days. Extensions can be requested, and are subject to approval at the discretion of OpenPhish.

What are the terms and conditions?

  • Applicants must attribute the use of OpenPhish data in their research and publications, including: (a) Cite OpenPhish as the source of the data, including the website address (www.openphish.com); (b) Date Accessed: Indicate the date the data was accessed
  • Applicants are prohibited from using the data for any commercial purposes
  • Applicants are prohibited from sharing the data with third parties
  • Applicants are responsible for ensuring their use of the data complies with all applicable laws and regulations

Please bear in mind that we reserve the right to terminate access to the data and/or this agreement for any violation of these terms.
